A while ago i had a friend who was a victim of identity theft and recently i decided to buy this this book because anyone can be a victim of identity theft. It was $15 well spent.

While the book is basically about how to solve this kind of problem in north america ( USA & Canada ) it also provides lots of useful information on how to prevent yourself from being a target of this kind of crime. Regardless of which country you live in; there is quite a lot of things that one can do to reduce or eliminate the possibility of identity theft, thus avoiding having to clear all sub consequent problems related to it.

Regarding the rest of the book and it's north American system; it provides lots of information about how you should proceed to clear up you name, records, credits and more.

It has all the information contacts agencies needed and forms to fill in these cases.
It also comes with a CD and all that is needed to solve your problem.

If you have been a victim; i advise to buy this book and don't just sit waiting for the legal authorities to do the work for you. In fact according to the book; they will not do much; you have to speed up things or it may take years until you are clear and have recovered from
identity theft.
