Here goes a quick line of thought regarding this matter.

Today it was a very nice day outside; so a lot of people decided to take their pets (dogs) out for a walk.
I was outside and i was able to see something that i haven't noticed in a while.

The dogs .. were "complete" or at least they looked that way.

But lets take a look at this:

Animal rights, also known as animal liberation, is the idea that the most basic interests of animals should be afforded the same consideration as the similar interests of human beings.[1] Animal rights advocates approach the issue from different philosophical positions, but they agree that animals should no longer be regarded as property, or used as food, clothing, research subjects, or entertainment, but should instead be viewed as legal persons and members of the moral community.

Sounds good and i have nothing against it. But how do lots of pet owners and animal rights institutions behave in certain situations ?

Lets see...

These days, due to human vanity its seems that a lot of these pet owners have a certain preference for their pet design and by this i mean body modifications.

Some pet (dogs) owner either pay to get these modifications done or when they acquire their dogs (bought or given); they do some changes like:

-Cutting their tail (better looks)
-Cutting their ears to "(improve design)
-Castration or other changes in their genitals.

There are more but these are enough to make a point here.

Perhaps i am wrong, blind or dumb but aren't these people and institutions full of bullshit ?

With what moral grounds do they come around and lecture others about animal rights ?

"oh my goodness sir don't kick you dog if he misbehaves or i will call the police. why don't you mutilated the bastard for design instead?"

How is it that we even tolerate this things ? Lets not slap the dog. Lets mutilate him, amputate him and castrate him because he won't be missing anything.

Would you like to get one of your fingers cut at birth because your parents will not want you to be use it to pick your nose???

Again :
